Felia Salim
Salim assumed her current position in 2008 and has served as an independent commissioner at Indonesia’s Bank Negara for four years. Before her appointment as commissioner, she was executive secretary of the financial sector policy committee. She has a strong background in the corporate sector, having been a director of the Jakarta Stock Exchange, vice president of Jardine Fleming Nusantara and vice president of Citibank Indonesia. She was deputy chair of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) and was charged with monitoring and restructuring banks under IBRA’s control when Indonesia revamped its banking industry in the late 1990s.
