Wei Guoxiong has been chief risk officer at ICBC since August 2006. Prior to this he was general manager of the credit management department since 2001. His 24-year career in ICBC has seen him holding various positions in the bank, including acting president of the bank’s Wenzhou branch, vice president of Zhejiang branch and general manager of the industrial and commercial credit department of the head office. Wei is a graduate of Tianjin University of Finance and Economics, and holds a master’s degree in economics.
