Aruna Rao
Aruna Rao is the group chief technology officer for Kotak Mahindra Bank, providing oversight on all strategic technology initiatives across the group. She is also in charge of standardisation, collaboration and technology innovation across the technology teams. Prior to this, Rao joined Polaris as part of the merger of Citicorp Software with Polaris. During her 20 year career in Citicorp Software/Polaris, she built their corporate banking technology business including cash management, treasury, trade finance and mutual funds systems, spanning multiple global implementations. Before that, Rao worked with a Maryland-based bank in the US as well as in the Operations Research Group in India. She holds an MBA and an MS in Information Systems from Maryland University USA.
