Yan Qingmin
Yan Qingmin was appointed assistant chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC) in February 2011. Prior to this appointment, he served as director-general at the CBRC branch in Shanghai, as well as at CBRC’s human resources and banking supervision departments. Before joining CBRC, Yan held various banking roles, namely at People’s Bank of China (PBoC), where he last served as deputy director-general of the central bank’s banking supervision department, and at Agricultural Bank of China, where he headed the supervisory team. He started his banking career at the planning division of PBoC’s Chongqing branch.
