Karen Fawcett
Ms. Karen Fawcett is the Group Head of Retail Clients for Standard Chartered Bank, appointed in April 2014. In this role, Karen is responsible for directing the global strategy and performance of the Retail Clients segment, which spans more than 30 countries, serving over nine million clients through almost 1,200 branches and 5,000 ATMs, as well as digital channels. Karen is a member of the Bank's Executive Strategy Group which oversees the Bank's business strategy, performance and resource allocation. She was a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd for eight years, until October 2013. Karen led Transaction Banking from 2005 until March 2014 and represented the Bank externally as a member of the Transaction Banking Global Leaders Group. Karen joined the Bank from Booz.Allen.Hamilton, where she was a Vice President and Partner focussed on the financial services sector in Asia Pacific. She is currently a member of the INSEAD board, which oversees and ensures the continued success of the school's strategy. She earned her MBA from INSEAD, and her MA in Economics from Cambridge. She has lived in Singapore since 1990 and was recognised as one of the Top 20 Women in Finance in Asia in 2011.
