In his current role, Shankar is responsible for the continued development of the bank\'s business following the recent American Express acquisition. In line with the group\'s strategy, particular focus will be placed on growing this business in southern Asia. Shankar previously worked at Bank of America, covering Southeast Asia, Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand as senior vice-president - regional manager, global product solutions for financial institutions. He holds a MBA from the University of Pune.
