Simon Yoo
Simon Yoo is currently head of Citigroup’s financial institutions group for Asia. Since June 2007, Yoo started a new role focused exclusively on enhancing relationships with leading financial sponsors and was instrumental in organising a “Japan Business Leaders Summit” in Tokyo to raise awareness about the private equity industry among managers of Japanese corporations and to create new opportunities for his team and the bank. Prior to this, he was managing director in January 2006. Yoo first joined Citigroup’s financial institutions division in 1997, eventually moving to Japan in 2000 to join Nikko Citigroup’s investment banking team.
