Rajeeva Bandaranaike was appointed as the chief executive officer of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on November 14 2013. Prior to that, Bandaranaike was CEO of Orient Finance from May 2012. He was also the CEO of People’s Merchant Bank from July 2011 to May 2012. Prior to his current position, Bandaranaike spent 19 years at CSE from 1992 to 2011 during which he held several senior managerial positions in trading and settlement, branch development, marketing and human resources. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka, a Master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and a Post Graduate Diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
