Ashraf Bibars is the group head of retail banking and SME business at Union National Bank, the only bank that is jointly owned by the governments of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. UNB has operations in five countries Bibars has a rich experience of over 25 years, in which he started as a teller and advanced all the way to many key positions in SME, microfinance, and Islamic banking. He was previously general mana.er and head of retail banking and small business at Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Egypt, where he headed and managed the 200-branch network with more than 1 million active customers.
