Mr. Zheng is currently secretary of the Party Committee of CMBC. On November 19, 2015, he was appointed as president of CMBC by the board of directors (qualifications to be examined by China Banking Regulatory Commission). He had been assumed the positions as assistant president of Hainan Provincial Branch of ICBC and general manager of the Business Department of the Branch, deputy general manager of Industrial and Commercial Credit Department of ICBC, as well as deputy general manager and general manger of Creditor's Department, general manager of Business Management Department and assistant president of China Huarong Asset Management Co., Ltd. (“China Huarong”). In December 2004, he took the posts as vice president of China Huaron, chairman of Huarong Securities and chairman of Rongde Asset Management Co., Ltd., a Sino-German joint venture company. In January 2009, he came to office as vice president of China Huaron,chairman of Huarong Securities and chairman of Huarong Futures. He became president of China Great Wall Asset Management Corporation in March 2011, and had been vice president of ICBC from October 2013 to October 2015. Mr. Zheng was born in 1964, he holds a Ph.D in economics and is a senior economist.
