Rafael Algarra
Rafael Algarra has been executive vice president of Security Bank’s treasury division since 2010. As the head of the treasury division for most of the years he’s worked at Security Bank, Algarra is the lender’s key mover in a niche business that now contributes 45% of the bank’s revenue. Prior to joining Security Bank in March 2000, he was the regional head of global exotics at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore from January 1999 to March 2000. Algarra was vice president and head of the money market and forwards desk at Standard Chartered Bank in Manila from May 1996 to December 1998. He has in the past held various positions in Citibank, mostly in the treasury group.
