Douglas Flint is currently
group chairman and chairman of the nomination committee of HSBC Holdings, a
post he has been in since December 2010. Prior to this he was chief financial officer,
executive director, risk and regulation since February 2010. Flint has served
in a variety of roles within HSBC since he first joined in 1995 as group finance
director-designate. Before joining HSBC, Flint was with KPMG, where he was appointed
a partner of the firm in 1988. In June 2006 he was honoured with a CBE
(Commander of the British Empire) by Her Majesty the Queen of England in
recognition of his services to the finance industry.
