Yew Jin Kang
Yew Jin Kang is currently chief information technology officer at Hong Leong Bank. He is involved in “run the bank” and “change the bank” activities and is responsible for technology- oriented decisions and technology direction. Before joining Hong Leong Bank, he was at various times responsible for core banking replacements for MBF Finance, AmBank and OCBC. Among his notable achievements were the custom-build of Asia’s first Unix core retail banking system from scratch on PowerBuilder, Tuxedo and Oracle. He also managed the launch of eBank www.finatiq.com and has worked on many core retail banking and insurance systems replacements in large-scale mergers and acquisitions. He is a certified TOGAF 9 practitioner and certified Project Management Professional with experience spanning Kuala Lumpur and Singapore with stints in Paris, Melbourne, Sydney, Mexico, Seoul, Hong Kong and New York.
